We should remember that maintaining kids‘ toys is a process, take it one step at a time. We should start by having a ”toy box” where our kids will place their toy once they finish playing with it. Another good way on promoting to our kids how to take care of their toys is taking part of their ”toy maintenance” like joining them when they are wiping their toys wit when it gathered dust. We should make them feel that they could have fun when they maintain their toys.
The next step is to watch our kids when they play with their toys. We should observe closely if our kids intentionally break their toys. Sometimes, kids do this because they seek attention from us and they see toys as platform to release pent up emotions. Once this is the case, it is better that we spend more quality time with our kids. In some cases, kids‘ toys will get damaged because they played it too much, which is not really bad but if this happens frequent, we should talk to our kids and tell them the value of their toys. It is never too early to teach our children responsibility
There are several brands that manufacture children‘s toys. As a parent you have to make sure that you have purchased the right one for your kids. One of the factors that you have to remember for that is the message that the toy sends to the kid. Another very important factor to consider is whether the toy is appropriate for the age. In fact, some brands categorize their toys in different age groups. This makes it easier to purchase the right one as you can easily pick up the toys proper for the age of your kids. Well, if you are not picking up the right toy according to the age, it may not appeal to your kids at all.
Little kids love to play and entertaining toys are considered as an important element to engage your little ones. Moreover, they also help in developing the cognitive as well as social skills. That is why; parents always want to bring the most appropriate and interesting games for their growing children. Child experts recommend parents to choose the age‐appropriate and multi‐purpose toys for the kid that help them learn new and interesting things.
My children have thousands of toys. Each Christmas, birthday or generic holiday in between grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends load them up with the latest toy fad. One year our son ended up with two dancing Boohbah toys. Who in the world needs two of these creatures? Each year right after Thanksgiving we sit down as a family and decide what we must keep, what we can throw out and what is still okay enough for donation. I will admit I have one child who would toss it all except her dry erase board. The other is so wrapped up in his toys he wants to keep even the tiniest of broken pieces. One thing that we can come to a final agreement on is that there is someone who wants toys that won‘t have any this year and we have an abundance. The other thing we agree on is that the holiday and coming year will bring many new toys for them to enjoy.
As we grow old, our preferred toys or those that were given to us changes, sometimes they don‘t. It may vary depending on our age, gender, or our preference. Our parents provide us initially with kids‘ toys to capture our attention and obedience. As we progress, they offer us important things such as love, care, and trust. These things are much special than any material things that we would receive. The memories that kid‘s toys give us, however, will remain for such a long time when compared to any gifts that we would receive.
