Thankfully, my children has adapted a careful demeanor when it comes to handling their toys, I believe that this is the most important thing, and a first step to ensuring the longevity of toys. Kids and toys must have a bond, so that the children will take extra care in handling them. It also helps to teach them that sharing is important, and that if they don‘t take care of their toys, their brothers or sisters will be losing it as well.
Everyone who has handled kids must have experienced firsthand how fidgety and restless they get when ignored, even for a short amount of time. So there is prime importance of selecting nice baby toys. That is the very reason why many people resent taking along their kids for shopping because they will constantly crave for attention and when this is not granted, they can get edgy and impatient. It is at times such as these that outdoor toys can come in handy and buying any outdoor toy won‘t do any good, it is essential that one selects the right toy which suits the kid.
Kid‘s toys are big business too which is amply proved by the millions of dollars that are poured into research for new toys and games to keep the industry alive and kicking. With so much competition around, one manufacturer tries to beat the other in innovative designs and technology that makes today‘s toys good not only for kids but for adults as well. Many times you see how a father would buy a complicated train set for his child but can‘t wait to get it set up so that he can play with it himself. All adults have a little bit of the kid in them and therefore we all love to see a new toy and how they work.
Although toy storage can be quiet expensive, you don‘t have to spend a lot of money on it. There are a couple of ways to keep your kid‘s room organized even without purchasing toy storage. You know those clear boxes used for shoe storage? You could always use those keeping your kids‘ toys, especially for the little toys that would get lost in big toy boxes. You can have one kind of toy per box. Like, one box for building blocks; one box for toy cars and one box for art supplies. This way, your kids can just grab one and play. No need to take all toys out, unlike if you‘re kid has only one box for all the toys.
When I was a kid, I never really had much toys so I guess I early on, I already knew to take care of the few toys that I had. My dad, who was a bit of a handyman, made me my own wooden toy box painted bright yellow with little compartments inside, which made toy keeping as much fun for me as playing. Now that I have two kids of my own, I have taken the values that I got from preserving toys from my childhood to present. While I can afford more toys for my children now than my parents from back then, I do not splurge and still keep a practical approach when it comes to getting the kids toys. Many of the toys that my seven year old has used from before is still being enjoyed by my four year old today.
My children have thousands of toys. Each Christmas, birthday or generic holiday in between grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends load them up with the latest toy fad. One year our son ended up with two dancing Boohbah toys. Who in the world needs two of these creatures? Each year right after Thanksgiving we sit down as a family and decide what we must keep, what we can throw out and what is still okay enough for donation. I will admit I have one child who would toss it all except her dry erase board. The other is so wrapped up in his toys he wants to keep even the tiniest of broken pieces. One thing that we can come to a final agreement on is that there is someone who wants toys that won‘t have any this year and we have an abundance. The other thing we agree on is that the holiday and coming year will bring many new toys for them to enjoy.
