As a responsible parent you would like to buy educational, funny, entertaining and safe toys for kids. Kids toys have an importantly role to play in the development of kids. These toys will help your kid to overcome stress after a hectic schedule at school. These toys will accelerate their physical and mental development. Their imagination power will grow to a considerable extent. These toys will instill essential traits such as companionship, cooperation, mutual aid, sportsmanship, and fairness. However, you need to analyze the potential dangers of any toy before you move ahead to buy the toy and ensure your kids safety while having fun.
Aside from giving out to charitable institutions, you can also opt to give the toys to other children that are younger than your child. You can ask your kids to trade seldom‐used toys with their playmates, or organize a garage sale with the help of the kids. When it comes to storing stuff, on the other hand, you need to remember that kids generally use the whole house during playtime. This is why it‘s ideal to organize storage spaces in each room for easy access. For bedrooms, for instance, you can allocate a closet that will be easily accessible to your children. This is to allow them to get and keep their toys without having to ask for help every time. Apart from utilizing low‐level cabinets, you can also keep toys in boxes and bins you can put under the bed.
It‘s a fact that the life expectancy of kids toys are short but we have to face the reality; with the high pricing cost of basic commodities nowadays it is really not practical for us to buy toys frequently to replace broken ones. It is therefore important that we teach our kids how to maintain their toys. We know that at one point those toys will be broken but what we could do is to extend the life span of those toys.
My children have thousands of toys. Each Christmas, birthday or generic holiday in between grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends load them up with the latest toy fad. One year our son ended up with two dancing Boohbah toys. Who in the world needs two of these creatures? Each year right after Thanksgiving we sit down as a family and decide what we must keep, what we can throw out and what is still okay enough for donation. I will admit I have one child who would toss it all except her dry erase board. The other is so wrapped up in his toys he wants to keep even the tiniest of broken pieces. One thing that we can come to a final agreement on is that there is someone who wants toys that won‘t have any this year and we have an abundance. The other thing we agree on is that the holiday and coming year will bring many new toys for them to enjoy.
I also got my dad to make another toy chest, light blue this time, with the kids name stenciled on the lid. I also had some photos of them tucked inside, and on the chest are the same compartments which made it seem as if the toys had their own ”rooms” which I used to enjoy so much. Now my kids also look forward to storing their toys after playtime as I used to when I was a kid! My kids also know that they will only receive new toys during a handful of special occasions, namely on their birthdays, after the school year ends, and during Christmas. I rarely give them toys on impulse, so they know that they have to take care of the toys that they have at hand. It might sound frugal, but more than that I believe that the children get a bigger lesson on responsibility by employing these techniques.
Toy stamps and colorful beads may not seem like great toys, but they do enhance a little girl‘s creativity and imagination and introduces her to the arts and crafts. For young boys, getting their own set of wheels can become such a bone of contention. Getting their own bikes or toy cars is part of their pretend play to be like their dads.
