From Baptism days, birthdays, Christmas, or any special day, there are definitely various occasions that would warrant giving kids toys to children. Since kids grow up fast and change toy preferences easily, a lot of parents find it frustrating to keep all those kids toys without having to resort to throwing out some. Moreover, there‘s also the constant struggle to teach kids to pick up their toys after playtime. Before you become too frustrated with trying to keep your house free of clutter, here are some handy tips you can follow to help you efficiently organize your children‘s stuff.
There are several brands that manufacture children‘s toys. As a parent you have to make sure that you have purchased the right one for your kids. One of the factors that you have to remember for that is the message that the toy sends to the kid. Another very important factor to consider is whether the toy is appropriate for the age. In fact, some brands categorize their toys in different age groups. This makes it easier to purchase the right one as you can easily pick up the toys proper for the age of your kids. Well, if you are not picking up the right toy according to the age, it may not appeal to your kids at all.
The next step is to watch our kids when they play with their toys. We should observe closely if our kids intentionally break their toys. Sometimes, kids do this because they seek attention from us and they see toys as platform to release pent up emotions. Once this is the case, it is better that we spend more quality time with our kids. In some cases, kids‘ toys will get damaged because they played it too much, which is not really bad but if this happens frequent, we should talk to our kids and tell them the value of their toys. It is never too early to teach our children responsibility
Gone are the days when children enjoyed simple toys such as building blocks, mechanical sets, jigsaw puzzles, dress up dolls and kitchen sets which were the usual toys that were given with much love and care by friends and relatives on special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. Today‘s kids prefer the electronic toys and both boys and girls would rather prefer a computer game or gadget than a board game or a pack of cards. Even the dolls of today are hi‐fashion Barbies or dressed in designer clothes, whereas little girls in the past would scream with delight to get a fairy doll or one dressed as an angel.
The kid‘s toys that we always choose to save are the ones that the gift giver has personalized. The kids love the toys that have been printed with their names or have been personalized to the sport they enjoy. The other toys that seem to find their way back into the toy box each year are the ones that are part of a special collection. Barbie was never important to my daughter. We always donated them. However my son still gets out every hot wheel car in his collection to play with at least once in awhile. Those toys have personal meaning. I can‘t bear to give them away. The toys that are adorned with the children‘s names end up finding their way to a high shelve to live out their lives.
The toy storage bin has two major benefits: one it ensures clutter free room and second your kids learn to be responsible and organized as they can access the toys on their own and assemble it back. These toy storage bins come in many attractive designs which are great to compliment with your child‘s room. What is more interesting is that toy organizer comes as a toy itself. Like the toy caddy, storage benches used as a seat and to store, they come in different shapes like a bus, van, etc. If you do not want to put kids through the effort of opening each of the drawers to find what they are looking for, then get through toy storage bins which reveal everything within it.
